Happy Monday ya’ll! It’s been a while. I’ve been prioritizing and protecting my peace and being fully present in the season I’m in. And while it hasn’t been the most comfortable or glamorous thing I’ve done, it’s been so worth it ✨

Today, I’m sharing 10 Ways To Experience Inner Peace:

1. Being present in the season you’re in without comparing your life to others.
2. Embracing community + connection.
3. Praying + meditating on God’s word daily.
4. Establishing a solid morning routine and/or night routine.
5. Intentional eating habits— prioritizing whole, healthy foods for your body.
6. Establishing a consistent fitness routine— prioritizing moving your body.
7. Prioritize spending time with friends/family who are positive, uplifting, and easy to be around.
8. Putting phone on DND and responding to emails/texts/notifications when you can. (Not everything is urgent).
9. Removing self from toxic people + environments
10. Being conscious of what you consume— content, music, tv shows, news, social media, gossip, etc.

All of these have been helpful for me, but a solid morning routine with prayer, meditating on scripture, and a workout have been a game changer for my mental and spiritual health. My days flow differently when I start the source— God ✨🙏🏾✨

My first time visiting New York City was in the 4t

My first time visiting New York City was in the 4th grade during our class trip (last slide) and I vividly remember my reaction to Times Square. I was in awe! Born and raised in Alabama, I’ve always been a country girl with big city dreams. So, the lights, action, and fast pace of the city were inspiring to me. For that reason, NYC always held a special place in my heart.

Since 4th grade, I’ve visited several times and each time I’ve experienced it in a different way. This time was most special because I got to experience it with my family and my fiancé. This experience was a full circle moment I’ll never forget. And it was the inspiring getaway we all needed to kick off the second half of 2023.

Living Spree Life Hacks:

✨Don’t be afraid to take the trip and do things you want to do in this life. You can always visit again and it will take on a different meaning each time.

✨Take care of this version of you. Life gets busy, but slowing down to revel in it is what matters most.

I see a lot of people posting more about burnout and wanting to figure out ways to do less. I’m with it. 🙌🏾 But I think it starts with knowing that rest is a requirement. There’s a sabbath (day of rest) for a reason. Jesus didn’t run anywhere, so why are we in a rush?

Personally, I haven’t always gotten this “rest” thing right. In fact, I think my work is in my rest. Learning how to sit in stillness. Learning how to let the chips fall where they may sometimes. Learning to let my BEing be enough. And most importantly, learning how to let God be God.

I’m a full-time nurse practitioner— this is my 10th year in practice. Over the years, I’ve served in different roles caring for diverse groups of people. I’m most passionate about caring for underserved communities, specifically mamas and babies 😍👩🏾‍⚕️

I remember praying for the life I have now. Do you? We are literally living in answered prayers. I don’t know about you, but I don’t want to miss what God is doing right now in the present. I don’t want to rush to the next thing before living in the very thing I prayed for. I don’t want to live life constantly comparing myself to others that I don’t appreciate what’s in front of me.

Today, we can have gratitude for where we are. We can notice all of the good things around us and how blessed we are. Even if we have a ways to go, we can appreciate how far we’ve come. We are exactly where we need to be, right now. Love y’all and happy #feelgoodfriday 🫶🏾
